« Loved the history of this hotel and the ambience. The rooms were extremely clean and they paid attention to detail and even provided fresh baked cookies on the bed and a little guest bag of forgotten items. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are several restaurants a few doors down in either direction to grab food. There is a speak easy bar on the 2nd floor if you need to see "the doctor". « Upon arrival, we were disappointed to discover that the main reason for booking our stay—the amenities—were unavailable. The pool was closed, and when we inquired, we received little to no explanation. The gym was also closed, making our stay uncomfortable, as my son is an athlete who requires these facilities to maintain his high-performance workout routine. « The shower has hot and strong water which was the highlight of the stay There was a faint smell of marujuana in many areas of the hotel which was concerning. The towels need to be larger and thicker. We found a hair in our shower before we used it- also disturbing. Hotel is fine for a one night sleep if you are in TAMU for an event. »
